Installation is extremely easy. Each wall panel comes velcroed onto a hanging bar. Simply pull back the top corner on each end of the hanging bar and nail or screw through predrilled holes in your wall. Reposition the corners back onto the velcro and you're done. Kimono installations are only slightly more complex. Instructions with illustration are provided.
The artist warns that these pieces, like any natural fiber textile, can suffer degradation caused by environmental conditions, especially prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light. Please be advised to place the artwork carefully and appropriately, maintaining a reasonably controlled environment. Textiles should never be hung where they are exposed to direct sunlight. However, a high-quality, transparent UV filtering film can be applied to existing windows at a reasonable cost, reducing damaging UV rays by up to 98%. Artificial illumination of these pieces is recommended. This silk is highly lustrous and reflective so that when lit properly it will have a rich luminescence. Low UV output bulbs are best, such as the Solux daylight color balanced bulb by Wico. Since these surfaces are textured, lighting from directly above can cause harsh shadowing. Therefore, lighting should ideally be out away from the hanging wall about three to four feet.

Dust can be cleaned from these pieces by gently vacuuming over the surface with downward strokes. Even though I believe that textile art should be displayed in a more intimate way than possible when framed or enclosed, in high traffic, public spaces a non-glare plexi or glass cover would be appropriate.
